ドヴォルザークのピアノ五重奏曲第2番は1888年1月6日にプラハで初演されました。

ドヴォルザークはピアノ五重奏曲を2曲作曲していますが、第1番は殆ど演奏されず、第2番はドヴォルザークの代表作のひとつとされています。シューマン、ブラームスの作品と並んで三大ピアノ五重奏曲と言われる事もあります。

この曲は、非常に民族色が豊かな曲で、第2楽章にドゥムカ、第3楽章にはフリアントを用いています。

Piano Quintet No. 2 of Dvorak was premiered in Prague on January 6, 1888.

Dvorak has composed two piano quintets , but No. 1 is not playing most, No. 2 has been one of the representative works of Dvorak. Schumann, sometimes we call  it one of three major Piano Quintets with Schuman and Brahms works.

This song inclues rich ethnic color , Dumka in the second movement, in the third movement have been used by Furiant.
