グラズノフのバレエ「ライモンダ」は1898年1月18日にマリインスキー劇場で初演されました。

「ライモンダ」は、グラズノフの代表的な作品のひとつで3幕4場のバレエ音楽です。ライモンダは美女と名高い伯爵夫人の姪の名前で、誕生日の祝宴と、十字軍に出征する恋人ジャンを見送った後に見た幻影、彼女に求婚するサラセンの王と帰還したジャンの決闘、決闘に勝利したジャンとライモンダの結婚の祝宴という内容になっています。

特に結婚の祝宴の場で踊られる「グラン・パ・クラシック」は単独で上演される有名な曲です。

Glazunov ballet "Raymonda" has been premiered at the Mariinsky Theater in January 18, 1898.

"Raymonda" is a ballet music of three acts 4 field ,and  one of the representative works of Glazunov. Raymonda is beautiful and renowned of Countess's  niece name; the feast of birthday ; illusion seen after she saw off a lover Jean to go to crusade, Jean duel  with the king of Saracen  who proposed her to courtship;  and Jean win the duel so has become the contents of the Jean and Raymonda marriage feast.

Especially "Grand Pas Classic" as danced in place of the feast of marriage is a famous songs that are staged alone.
