アメリカの歌手パティ・ペイジは1927年11月8日にオクラホマ州で生まれました。

パティ・ペイジの本名はクララ・アン・ファウラーで、貧しい家に生まれました。18歳の時に歌手としてラジオ番組に出演するようになり、その時のスポンサーだったペイジ乳業から名前をもらってパティ・ページと名乗るようになりました。

1947年にレコード・デビューし、当時としては珍しい多重録音が話題になりヒットしました。1950年にリリースされた「テネシー・ワルツ」は600万枚を売上げ13週間ヒットチャートの1位という最大のヒットになりました。

「テネシー・ワルツ」はその後スタンダード曲として多くの歌手に取り上げられています。日本でも江利チエミをはじめとして多くのミュージシャンが取り上げています。

American singer Patti Page was born in Oklahoma on November 8, 1927.

Real name of Patti Page was Clara Ann Fowler born in the poor house. She appeared on radio programs as a singer at the age of 18, it is now calling hierself Patty page  got the name from Paige dairy industry which was a sponsor of that time.

And to record debut in 1947, a rare multiple recorded as at the time it was hit into the news. "Tennessee Waltz", which was released in 1950 became the biggest hit of 600 million copies and the first place of sales 13 weeks hit chart.

"Tennessee Waltz" has subsequently been featured in many of the singer as a standard song. Many of the musicians have taken up as beginning the Eri Chiemi in Japan,too.
