ロシアの作曲家アレクサンドル・ワルラモフは1801年11月27日に生まれました。

ワルラモフは帝政ロシア時代の作曲家でロシア語の合唱曲や歌曲の発展に尽くしました。作品は殆ど知られていませんが、1834年にツィガーノフの詩に曲をつけた「赤いサラファン」はロシアの代表的な民謡として知られています。

サラファンはロシアの民族衣装で、結婚に乗り気でない娘と、それを諭す母親の会話から成り立っています。

Composer Alexander Egorovich Varlamov of Russia was born on November 27, 1801.

Varlamov　was devoted to the development of Russian choral music and songs by composers of the Russian Empire era. His music are not little known, but "Red Sarafan" wearing the songs to poems of Tsyganovin 1834 has been known as a typical folk songs of Russia.

A sarafans is  Russian ethnic costumes, and this song is made in conversation of a daughter reluctant to get married and her mothers who tried to admonish it.
