作曲家の福田和禾子は2008年10月5日に亡くなりました。

福田和禾子は東京藝術大学作曲家を卒業後、ピアニストを務める傍ら、NHK教育テレビ向けに数多くの曲を作曲しました。

「そうだったらいいのにな」「北風小僧の寒太郎」など数多い作品の中で、最も知られているのが「ありがとう・さようなら」です。卒業式の定番ソングとして今でも歌われています。

Besides that after graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music composer, to serve the pianist, she has composed the numerous songs for NHK Educational TV .

Among the many works  such as "So dattara iinonina" and "KItakaze kozo no Kantarou", best known is "Arigatou Sayounara (means Goodbye, thank you) ". It is still sung as a staple song of the graduation ceremony.
