作曲家清水脩は1986年10月29日に亡くなりました。

清水脩は大阪外国語学校のフランス語科を卒業後1938年に東京音楽学校に入学し作曲を学びました。
寺院の子供として生まれたために、日本の音楽に興味を示し、邦楽器のための作品を数多く作曲しました。その他では15作のオペラや400曲以上の合唱曲も作曲しています。

代表作のひとつ「月光とピエロ」は、堀口大学の詩によるものです。堀口大学がフランスの女流画家マリー・ローランサンへのかなわぬ恋心を歌った詩で、ピエロは彼自身、ピエレッタやコロンビーヌはローランサンです。ア・カペラによる男声合唱のための曲で、「月夜」「秋のピエロ」「ピエロ」「ピエロの嘆き」「月光とピエロとピエレッタの唐草模様」の5曲による組曲です。美しい和声と、時には力強く、時には儚げなメロディが魅力的な曲です。

Composer Osamu Shimizu died on October 29, 1986.

Osamu Shimizu learned composer entered the Tokyo Music School in 1938 after graduating from the French Department of Osaka School of Foreign Languages.
Because he was born as a child of the temple, and shows an interest in music of Japan, he had composed many works for the Japanese music instrument. He had also composed choral music of 400 songs and more than 15 opera installment in the other.

The "Gekko to Piero(means Moonlight and the Clown)", is due to poetry Horiguchi Daigaku one of the representative works. In poetry Horiguchi Daigaku sang a romance which is not fulfilled to the female painter Marie Laurencin of France,  clown is himself and Laurencin is Columbine and Pieretta. Songs for male chorus by Capella, is a suite with five songs, "Getsuya(Moonlit Night)", "Aki no Piero(clown of autumn)", "Piero(clown)", "Piero no nageki(laments of clown)" and "Gekko to Piero to Pieretta no Karakusamoyo(arabesque of moonlight ,clown and lady clown)". And  thisi songs whichi has beautiful harmony and melodies sometimes strong and sometime transitory  is very charming .
