アメリカの歌手チャーリー・リッチは1995年7月25日に亡くなりました。

1932年にアーカンソー州で生まれたチャーリー・リッチは、最初はジャズやブルースを歌っていましたが、1960年代後半にカントリー・シンガーに転進しました。その後はカントリー・チャートで45曲ものヒットを持つ大歌手となりました。特に1973年からの3年間は「愛の扉」をスタートに「愛する時はいつも」まで全米トップ40に入るヒットを連発しました。

その3年間の頂点が1973年全米ナンバーワンヒットに輝いた「朝焼けの少女」です。原題は「最も美しい少女」。チャーリーの暖かく甘い歌声がとてもいいですねぇ。

Singer Charlie Rich in the United States died on July 25, 1995.

Charlie Rich was born in Arkansas in 1932, was singing the blues and jazz at first, but he was strategic anabasis country singer in the late 1960s. He was a great singer who has 45 songs of the hit in the country charts. Especially he has a string of hits entering the U.S. Top 40 from "Behind close the door" to "Everytime you touch me"  about three years since 1973 .

"The most beautiful girl" vertices of the three-year won the U.S. number one hit in 1973. Sweet warm voice of Charlie was very good, doesn't he?
