アメリカの作曲家リチャード・ロジャースは1902年6月28日にニューヨークで生まれました。

ロジャースは数々のミュージカルを作曲し、特に作詞家のオスカー・ハマースタイン2世とのコンビでは「オクラホマ」、「王様と私」、「サウンド・オヴ・ミュージック」などの作曲をして、34のトニー賞と1つのアカデミー賞を受賞し、ひとつの時代を築きました。

「南太平洋」には、「バリ・ハイ」「ハッピー・トーク」など魅力的な歌が散りばめられていますが、｢魅惑の宵」は多くの歌手やポップス・オーケストラに取り上げられています。
とりわけ、マントヴァーニ楽団の演奏は、特徴であるカスケーディング・ストリングスによってこの曲の魅力を更に引き出しています。

Composer Richard Rogers of the United States was born in New York on June 28, 1902.

He composed the many musical , espcially combination with the Oscar Hammerstein Ⅱ lyricist,  he composed  such as "Oklahoma," "The King and I", and "Sound Of  Music", and  they win 34  Tony Award and  one  Academy Award , so has established the age of one.

In   "South Pacific".a charming song "Bali Hai" and "Happy Talk" are studded, and the "Some Enchanted Evening" has been featured in Pops Orchestra and many singers.
Among other things, the performance of Mantovani orchestra has further pulled out the charm of this song by cascading strings .
