オーボエ奏者、指揮者であり作曲家のハインツ・ホリガーは1939年5月21日にスイスで生まれました。

ホリガーはオーケストラに所属することなく、独奏者として活動を続け、バロックから現代音楽まで幅広いレパートリーを持った演奏者でした。

オーボエという楽器はオーケストラでは花形で、1st violinと並んでメロディを受け持つ事が多いのですが、逆に哀愁を帯びた独特の音色がオーケストラに溶け込みにくいという特徴があります。
また、オーケストラの楽器の中で最も演奏が難しいとも言われています。オーボエはファゴットと同様ダブルリードというリードを2枚振動させて音を出す楽器で、オーボエ奏者の仕事は演奏と同時にリード削りとも言われるほどで買ったばかりのリードではまともな音が出ないようです。

オーボエは多くのオーケストラ曲で大活躍するのですが、協奏曲も多数作曲されています。その中でもモーツァルトのオーボエ協奏曲は代表的な作品です。ザルツブルグの宮廷オーケストラのオーボエ奏者だったジュゼッペ・フェルナンディスからの依頼で作曲され、全曲を通して音域が高く技巧的にも難しい曲のようです。漫画「のだめカンタービレ」でライジングスター・オーケストラの最初の演奏会で黒木君を独奏として演奏した曲としても知名度が高い曲です。

Heinz Holliger the oboist,composer and conductor was born in Switzerland in May 21, 1939 .

Without having to belong to the orchestra Holliger, was a player to stay on to work as a soloist, contemporary music from baroque to with a wide range of repertoire.

Oboe is  the star in the orchestra, that is responsible for the melody alongside 1st violin , but on the contrary because of its  unique tone with melancholy,it is  hard to adapt to the orchestra.
In addition, it is said that playing even the most difficult musical instrument in the orchestra. Decent sound does not seem to come out in the lead just bought in so as to be said in the instrument that puts out the sound by vibrating two pieces of lead that same double reed bassoon, work of oboist is also cut lead at the same time as playing the oboe.

Oboe is conspicous in many orchestra piece,  and Concerto is also composed many. Oboe Concerto of Mozart is a work typical among them. Been composed at the request of Giuseppe Ferlendis was oboist of the court orchestra of Salzburg, is like a song range is difficult to artful high through the songs. It is a tune have a high profile as a song that was played as a solo Mr. Kuroki in the first concert of the Rising Star Orchestra manga "Nodame Cantabile".
