プロコフィエフの演奏会用カンタータ「アレクサンダー・ネフスキー」は1939年5月17日にモスクワで初演されました。

アレクサンダー・ネフスキーはスウェーデンやドイツ騎士団による侵攻から国を守った中世ロシアの英雄として讃えられている実在の人物です。この曲は、元々映画のために作曲されたものから抜粋してカンタータとして改作されたものです。

中心となるのは、1242年のドイツ騎士団の侵攻をチュード湖の戦いの勝利によって撃退した話になっています。全7曲から構成され抑揚が激しく劇的な作品です。

Prokofiev cantata for "Alexander Nevsky" was premiered in Moscow on May 17, 1939.

Alexander Nevsky is a real person that has been praised as a hero of medieval Russia defended his country from invasion by the Teutonic Knights and Sweden. This song is something that has been adapted as a cantata with excerpts from those that have been composed for the original movie.

It's the heart is, and it is the story that was repulsed by the victory of the Battle of  Lake Peipus the invasion of the Teutonic Knights in 1242. Intonation is an intensely dramatic work consists of all seven pieces.
